  • Can athletes join mid-season or only for specific sessions?


    Yes, if space is available. However, spots can fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.


    If you cannot make all of the sessions, please contact us and we will try and create a tailored plan for you.

  • What kit or uniform does my child need?


    Every athlete receives Fortivus training t-shirt(s) included in their program fee, so nothing extra is required for training.  


    For the final games, all players will be required to purchase Fortivus Academy shorts and socks. Jerseys will be provided.

  • Why is there a date limit on the Team Store

    As many of the key items are custom, we limit the amount of time for purchases so that they can be made and shipped in bulk orders (min 12). We have set 3 different time periods to place orders, and if the specific item doesn't hit 12 by the timeframe, the order will be rolled into the next time window. However, there are many other items in the store that are not custom and can be produced and sent as soon as the order is made.

  • What is Rugby Xplorer and how do I register?


    Rugby Xplorer is the national registration system used by USA Rugby and Rugby Illinois for player insurance, eligibility, and competition management.  All rugby players must complete this once per year.  Register by downloading the Rugby Xplorer app (or visiting myaccount.rugbyxplorer.com), creating an account, adding your child, then selecting Register → Player → Rugby Illinois → [select your local rugby club]. It takes just a few minutes and must be done before playing in any matches. 


    This will be an additional fee but will enable each player to be eligible to play rugby for one year (registrations restart every year on September 1)

  • What if we can’t make all sessions?


    No problem. Our model is built on flexibility — attend as much as you can. We know families have busy lives.

  • Are programs suitable for beginners?


    Yes. We welcome beginners through to experienced players, and our coaches are experienced in supporting new athletes at all ages.

  • What if my child has never played rugby before?


    Perfect — Fortivus Academy welcomes first-time players, and we teach everything from the ground up.


  • How does the Fortivus Foundation help families?



    If cost is a barrier, the Fortivus Foundation can provide full or partial financial support.  The process is quick, confidential, and available to anyone who needs it.

  • Is registration refundable?


    Refunds are only available prior to the start of the Fall schedule. Please contact us for further information.
